Stevens Title Service Incorporated
Over 70 years

Stevens License, Title and Notary Service was founded in 1978 by Jacque and Dudley Stevens.
In 1979 Stevens merged with Blades License Service, which was started in the early 1960’s by
Gil Blades. Over the next 10 years Blades-Stevens License Service continued to grow and
acquired various other agencies, notably are: Rapps License by Jim Rapp, founded in the early
1940’s, Title Service Bureau and Title’s Etc. by Jane Burmiester, founded in the early 1940’s.

In 1989 Stevens acquired Ebeys License Service by Lou Ebey, founded in 1942. In 1997 Stevens
purchased Lymans License Service, by Terry and Beverly Lyman, founded in 1967. Stevens Title
Service became incorporated in 1999. In 2003 Matthew and Heather Stevens took over for
Dudley and Jacque Stevens. In 2006 we joined the Better Business Bureau. In 2009 we joined the
Springfield Greater Chamber of Commerce. In 2010 we joined the National Association of
Notaries.

Stevens Title Service Incorporated is a licensed and bonded expediting company. We process
work through the Illinois Secretary of State offices. We help other businesses, banks, and
individuals obtain titles, plates, stickers and other paperwork associated with motor vehicles,
trailers and boats in Illinois. Our knowledge and long term commitment to providing a customer-
oriented business, has made us one of the oldest family owned and operated remittance agencies
in Illinois.

Stevens Title Service Incorporated is celebrating over 70 combined years of serving the
community of Springfield and the state of Illinois. Help us celebrate another 70 years.
